Job summary

TEGNA Inc.'s KING 5 Media in Seattle is seeking a Local Sales Manager to grow market share and create new TV/Digital business opportunities. The LSM will manage Account Executives and Account Managers, develop strategies to win local clients, and oversee performance to meet revenue goals.

This position reports to the Director of Sales. Requirements include 5+ years in sales management within broadcast TV, leadership skills, and proficiency with Wide Orbit, Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sales management experience.
• Track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals in broadcast TV/digital.
• Proven leadership to develop elite sales teams.
• Strategic thinker with ability to advise senior management on sports sales strategies.
• Ability to foster inclusive, positive team culture.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Wide Orbit Sales, Salesforce, Wide Orbit Traffic & Wide Orbit Analytics, Comscore, Matrix, Media Monitors.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under deadline pressure.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong presenter and communicator with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train and develop a high-performing sales team for TV and digital products.
• Lead and manage Account Executives and Account Managers.
• Support staff with coaching, client meetings, proposals, and full sales process.
• Identify market potential through lead generation and qualification.
• Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet/reach revenue goals.
• Analyze client accounts to maximize marketing executions and provide forecasts.
• Build strong relationships with local clients and key accounts, ensuring top-notch service.
• Monitor metrics to track market share and performance.
• Collaborate with national sports sales organizations to align local and national opportunities.
• Demonstrate expertise in large-scale sports sponsorships, including budgeting and go-to-market strategies.
