Job summary

WAPT, the ABC/CBS affiliate in Jackson, MS, is seeking a Sales Assistant to provide general support to the Sales department, including traffic and data entry of commercial material. The role requires accuracy, organization, and the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks.

You will liaise with a central facility, submit last-minute orders/revisions, coordinate locally received material, and help produce the final daily log. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have computer and software experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets).
• Capable of handling time-sensitive advertising sales projects.
• Willing to learn new systems promptly and thoroughly.
• Must be focused and organized.

Requirements

• Must have computer and software experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
• Can deal with the stresses and pressures of time-sensitive projects associated with advertising sales
• Keen on learning new systems promptly and thoroughly
• Must be focused and organized
• Previous commercial television experience preferred
• Must take pride in work, respond to instruction well and perform at a high-level
• Related military experience will be considered
