Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery is seeking a Route Driver to represent the company while delivering and picking up freight. The role may include overtime and weekend opportunities with paid overtime after 40 hours.

Starting wage is $20.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience. Qualifications include being at least 21, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. DOT physical may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
