Job summary

Smyrna Ready Mix, LLC seeks a safety-focused Tanker Operator with a Class A CDL to transport cement from terminals to concrete plants. You will perform pre-trip inspections, maintain logs, and communicate with dispatch to ensure timely deliveries.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years’ tanker driving experience, a clean driving record, and knowledge of DOT regulations. Local/regional routes with home time, overtime eligibility, and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement is helpful but not required.
• Minimum 2 years of proven experience driving Class A tanker trucks.
• Clean driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for material transport.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tanker truck transporting cement to SRM plant locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for vehicle safety and compliance.
• Accurately complete and maintain logbooks and delivery paperwork per DOT and company policies.
• Communicate with dispatch for delivery instructions and route updates.
• Ensure secure loading/unloading of cement to prevent spillage or contamination.
• Follow established routes and schedules and adhere to safety procedures.
• Provide professional customer service at delivery sites.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or violations promptly and stay updated on safety regulations.
