SRM Concrete in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Tanker Operator with a Class A CDL to safely transport cement from terminals to SRM plants. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, complete delivery logs, and coordinate with dispatch for on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement preferred
• Current DOT Medical Card
• Minimum 2 years’ proven experience driving Class A tanker trucks
• Clean driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years
• Good knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for material transport

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tanker truck, transporting cement from terminals to SRM plant locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for vehicle safety and compliance.
• Complete and maintain logbooks and delivery paperwork per DOT and company policies.
• Communicate with dispatch for instructions and route updates.
• Ensure secure loading/unloading with minimal spillage or contamination.
• Follow routes, schedules, and safety procedures for material transport.
• Provide professional customer service at delivery sites.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or violations promptly.
• Stay updated on safety regulations and SRM policies
