Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with air-brake qualification.
• DOT medical certificate required or obtainable.
• Experience with ready-mix concrete trucks preferred.
• Clean motor vehicle record and safe driving history.
• Knowledge of mixer procedures, chutes, washout and safety.

Responsibilities

• Follow dispatch directions and verify delivery tickets.
• Drive mixer truck safely and efficiently between sites.
• Inspect job sites to ensure safe truck access.
• Maintain radio contact with dispatch and document deliveries.
• Clean and rinse chutes and truck between loads.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Report maintenance needs, safety concerns, or accidents immediately.
• Verify correct customer, site address, concrete mix, and quantities.
• Ensure delivery area is accessible and safe for entry/exit.
• Conduct daily vehicle maintenance; assist mechanics when needed.
• Follow all DOT rules and company safety policies.
• Attend safety meetings, driver training, and mixer-operation sessions.
• Keep truck clean, organized, and professional at all times.
• Follow approved washout procedures and environmental rules.
• Take on other related duties as assigned by management.
