Job summary

GCC is seeking a reliable concrete mixer truck driver to deliver ready-mixed concrete to job sites across the region. You will perform pre-trip inspections, load materials, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining safety on varied terrain.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and the ability to pass a DOT drug screen and medicals, with strong customer-service skills and English proficiency. GCC emphasizes safety and a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (minimum); or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Ability to pass Federal Department of Transportation drug screen and physical.
• Maintain driving record in accordance with Federal and State regulations.
• Ability to deal with customers and other employees diplomatically.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules and procedures; write routine reports; speak before groups; read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Drive truck with concrete mixer to deliver to job sites.
• Perform pre-trip inspections per DOT regulations.
• Fill water tank and ensure valves are closed before loading.
• Use map and experience to choose direct routes for on-time delivery.
• Maneuver truck safely on varying ground conditions at job sites.
• Add fibers, admixtures, cement, or colors as needed.
• Discharge via main chute and clean equipment after discharge.
• Wash truck and chutes after each shift; use acidic solution when necessary.
• Communicate with dispatch via two-way radio and status systems.
• Call out start times daily and perform post-trip inspections.
