Hitachi Rail is seeking a Local Procurement Buyer to support fast-paced environments in Pittsburgh, PA or Honolulu, HI. The role covers administrative to strategic tasks, with onsite work and a Bachelor's degree required.

You will participate in large negotiations, ensure regulatory compliance, identify risks, and contribute to contract management strategies across the Americas. Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience.
• Strong experience with contract terms and conditions negotiation.
• Strong skills in complex negotiations, including claims.
• Strategic/critical thinking skills, including risk mitigation.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Participate in large, complex negotiations across multiple sourcing requirements.
• Provide timely, compliant support to the business and regulatory obligations.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies aligned with project milestones.
• Contribute to procurement contract management strategy for Americas projects.
• Manage contract reviews with stakeholders and ensure templates are up to date.
• Lead trainings for procurement team on templates and negotiation tactics.
