Job summary

Estes Express is seeking a qualified Class A CDL driver to operate tractor/trailer equipment in Springfield, MO. You will transport freight in accordance with FMCSA regulations, maintain complete and accurate logs, and comply with hazardous materials safety requirements.

This role requires the ability to perform pre/post-trip inspections, handle dock duties when needed, and adapt to different schedules and terrains while delivering professional service to customers.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• 21 years of age per FMCSA and at least 1 year driving experience.
• Must possess a valid Class A CDL.
• FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration required.
• Reside within 75 miles of domicile Service Center/assignment.
• HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required.
• Able to drive tractor-trailer per FMCSA requirements.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Able to operate forklift (≥7,500 lb).
• Possess acceptable MVR and comply with FMCSA rules.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor/trailer safely to transport freight and comply with FMCSA regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Adhere to all safety, security and regulatory requirements for hazardous materials transport.
• Maintain driver logs and records in accordance with local, state and federal rules.
• Dock duties as needed, including loading/unloading freight.
• Communicate effectively with supervision and fleet services.
• Work in varying schedules and environmental conditions.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks.
• Adjust to road and weather conditions while meeting deadlines.
