Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines in Roanoke, VA is seeking a P&D Driver to pick up, transport, and deliver freight locally. You will operate tractor-trailers, perform coupling/uncoupling, and ensure accurate logs while maintaining safety and customer service.

Minimum 6 months of driving experience (1 year preferred) with a CDL including HazMat, Tanker, and Twin Trailers endorsements. Must be 21+ and able to read/write English, perform basic math, and follow DOT rules, including passes for physicals

Qualifications

Minimum 6 months driving experience; 1 year preferred.
CDL with HazMat, Tanker, and Twin Trailers endorsements; no automatic restrictions.
At least 21 years old.
Must read, comprehend, and write in English; perform simple math; read maps/road signs; maintain driving logs.
Knowledge of DOT rules, regulations, and guidelines including hours of service, vehicle inspections, and hazmat transport.
Meeting DOT physical qualifications and passing alcohol and drug tests are mandatory.

Responsibilities

Pick up, transport, and deliver freight locally.
Drive tractor-trailer in varying conditions; perform coupling/uncoupling; connect lines; adjust equipment.
Conduct vehicle inspections; load/unload cargo; ensure transport documents are accurate, especially for hazmat.
Report incidents or delays; maintain safety and professionalism; provide excellent customer service.
