Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a P&D Driver to pick up, transport, and deliver freight locally with a tractor-trailer. You will inspect, load, and unload cargo, ensure documents are accurate, and handle hazardous materials according to DOT rules.

Applicants must have 6 months of driving experience (1 year preferred), a CDL with hazmat/tanker/twin-trailer endorsements, be at least 21, and able to read/write in English and perform basic math. Safety and customer service are key.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months driving experience; 1 year preferred.
• CDL with endorsements for HAZMAT, Tanker, and Twin Trailers; no automatic restrictions.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write in English; perform simple mathematical calculations; read maps and road signs; maintain driving logs.

Responsibilities

• Pick up, transport, and deliver freight locally.
• Drive tractor-trailer; perform vehicle operations including coupling/uncoupling and connecting lines.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and manage loading/unloading of cargo.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of transport documents; handle hazardous materials as required.
• Report incidents or delays; adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
