Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Chemung County is seeking a Local Food Program Coordinator to manage, organize and coordinate all aspects of the Local Food Program across Chemung County. The role collaborates with staff, local government, stakeholders, and volunteers to deliver outreach and education and supervise volunteers.

The position is 100% FTE, requires evening/weekend availability, and offers a comprehensive benefits package including health/dental insurance and retirement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education (Associate’s Degree and two years transferrable experience accepted)
• Experience relevant to the role is required
• Valid NYS Driver’s License and ability to travel as needed
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends
• Must be able to lift 20–50 lbs regularly
• Willingness to work in diverse and challenging weather conditions

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and implement Local Food Program activities.
• Supervise and support Local Food volunteers and staff.
• Collaborate with local government, stakeholders, and community groups.
• Deliver outreach, education sessions, and trainings.
• Assist in program budgeting and administrative tasks.
• Ensure program activities align with statewide and local plans of work.
• Coordinate and attend meetings and events in Chemung County
