Job summary

Jusczak Trucking LLC is seeking a qualified Local Flatbed Driver for Monroe, LA. You will drive a local route, be home every day, and operate a fleet of Peterbilt equipment with safety and reliability at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with endorsement.
• Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years.
• Must pass DOT physical exam and hold valid medical card.
• At least 2 years of Class A driving experience preferred.
• Experience hauling flatbed/step deck/RGN/oversize freight is a plus.
• Must pass pre-employment and random DOT drug tests.
• Physical stamina to lift and secure freight and perform related tasks.
• Strong communication skills with dispatchers, customers and team members.
• Moderate tech skills to operate dispatch software.

Responsibilities

• Haul primarily flatbed freight out of Monroe, LA.
• Maintain driver logs and required documentation.
• Coordinate with dispatch using our software.
• Adhere to safety standards and DOT regulations.
• Communicate with customers and team to ensure on-time delivery.

Position Details

• Location: Monroe, LA (Home Every Day)
• Hauling Freight: Primarily Flatbed
• Equipment: Model year 2000 and older Peterbilt 379s with 3406E CAT engines
• Fleet Maintenance: Maintenance with our sister company, NSC ATE, ensuring minimal downtime

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL – Must hold a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a Class A endorsement.
• Clean Driving Record – No major violations (DUIs, reckless driving, etc.) within the last 3 years.
• DOT Physical Exam – Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and maintain a valid DOT medical card.
• Experience – At least 2 years of Class A driving experience (or equivalent training) preferred.
• Ability to Operate Different Equipment Types – Experience with hauling flatbed, step deck, RGN, van, Conestoga, or over-dimensional freight is a plus.
• No Serious Traffic Violations – No major traffic violations in the past 3-5 years (speeding tickets, reckless driving, etc.).
• Pass a Drug Test – Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Physical Stamina – Ability to lift, load, and secure freight, as well as perform other physically demanding tasks as needed.
• Strong Communication Skills – Ability to communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
• Moderate Technology Skills - All company dispatches and communication take place on our proprietary dispatching software.
• Clean Background Check – Must pass a criminal background check.
• Flexibility – Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Safety-Conscious – Commitment to safety standards and regulations while on the road.
• Reliable and Punctual – Strong work ethic with a commitment to punctuality and dependability.
• Ability to Maintain Logs and Documentation – Must be able to properly complete and maintain driver logs, inspection reports, and other required documentation.

$25-$28 per hour depending on experience
