Job summary

Jusczak Trucking in Indianapolis is seeking a local flatbed driver to join our team. You will operate primarily within the Indianapolis area, loading and securing freight for on-time deliveries and keeping safety first in all operations.

We value experienced drivers with a clean record who can communicate well with dispatch and customers, and who are comfortable using our proprietary dispatch software. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with Class A endorsement.
• Clean driving record with no major violations in 3 years.
• DOT medical card and ability to pass DOT physical.
• Must pass pre-employment and random DOT drug testing; consent to clearinghouse.
• Minimum 5 years of Class A driving experience preferred.
• Experience with flatbed, step deck, RGN, van, Conestoga, or over-dimensional freight is a plus.
• Physical stamina to lift, load and secure freight.
• Strong communication with dispatchers, customers, team.
• Moderate tech skills for proprietary dispatch software.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Safety-conscious and reliable.
• Maintain logs and documentation accurately.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL - Must hold a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a Class A endorsement.
• Clean Driving Record - No major violations (DUIs, reckless driving, etc.) within the last 3 years.
• DOT Physical Exam - Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and maintain a valid DOT medical card.
• Pass a Drug Test and clearinghouse - Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing in accordance with DOT regulations. Also must consent to and pass a clearing house query, pre-employment and annual.
• Experience - At least 5 years of Class A driving experience (or equivalent training) preferred.
• Ability to Operate Different Equipment Types - Experience with hauling flatbed, step deck, RGN, van, Conestoga, or over-dimensional freight is a plus.
• Physical Stamina - Ability to lift, load, and secure freight, as well as perform other physically demanding tasks as needed.
• Strong Communication Skills - Ability to communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
• Moderate Technology Skills - All company dispatches and communication take place on our proprietary dispatching software.
• Flexibility - Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Safety-Conscious - Commitment to safety standards and regulations while on the road.
• Reliable and Punctual - Strong work ethic with a commitment to punctuality and dependability.
• Ability to Maintain Logs and Documentation - Must be able to properly complete and maintain driver logs, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
