Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is hiring a Final Mile Driver in Fort Smith, AR to pick up, transport and deliver freight locally in a non CDL-A vehicle. You will perform loading, unloading and paperwork, and ensure safe, on-time deliveries.

Responsibilities include inspecting the vehicle, checking shipping papers, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires a clean driving record, 6 months of driving experience and the ability to pass background and drug tests. First shift available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months driving experience, including personal vehicle
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to pass background check and drug/alcohol test
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable MVR
• Willing to enter Driver Trainee Program after one year in Final Mile Driver role

Responsibilities

• Pick up, transport and deliver freight locally in a non CDL-A vehicle.
• Load and unload shipments with or without assistance.
• Inspect vehicle for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after trips.
• Check shipping papers to ensure no hazardous materials are present and paperwork is complete.
• Complete all required vehicle operation and freight paperwork.
