Job summary

GPAC is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager for a well-established local electrical contractor in Detroit. You will own electrical projects from contract through completion, focusing on local commercial and industrial work with minimal travel.

You will manage budgets and schedules, review plans, coordinate with GCs, customers, vendors and subcontractors, work with superintendents to stay on schedule, handle change orders and RFIs, and ensure safety, profitability, and on-time

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical construction experience.
• Previous Electrical Project Manager experience.
• Strong commercial and/or industrial electrical background.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical construction projects from start to finish.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, and profitability.
• Review plans, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with General Contractors, customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Work closely with Superintendents and Foremen to keep projects on schedule.
• Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
• Monitor project costs and financial performance.
• Attend project meetings and maintain customer relationships.
• Help resolve project issues and keep work moving forward.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
