Job summary

Loffredo Fresh Foods is seeking a Class B Delivery Driver (Local Delivery) based out of Des Moines, IA. The role involves safe operation of a 26ft box truck, customer interaction, and accurate delivery documentation.

You will work early morning routes with emphasis on service quality, accuracy, and efficiency. The position offers competitive hourly pay and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid interstate eligible CDL driver's license, 21+ or older.
• Ability to work early morning hours (2 AM – 4 AM depending on the route).
• Access to reliable and punctual transportation.
• Pass a background check and DOT requirements.
• Able to read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Operate the delivery vehicle safely and follow all safety guidelines.
• Deliver and unload products, communicating with customers professionally.
• Inspect orders for accuracy and keep accurate delivery records.
• Lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 75 lbs occasionally.

Our drivers touch freight!As a Delivery Driver, you are the team member that our customers interact with the most. Providing exceptional customer service is a key part of this role and is essential in maintaining our commitment to customer service. You will interact with customers professionally, ensuring a positive delivery experience and addressing any questions or concerns. Duties include checking orders for accuracy, inspecting product for damage, and keeping accurate records of deliveries.

What we look for:

What you’ll do:

• SAFETY FIRST. Must be able to safely operate vehicles at all times and follow all safety guidelines
• Must be comfortable driving and unloading in varying weather conditions
• Deliver and communicate with customers in a professional manner
• Unload products using a ramp and hand dolly
