Responsibilities

• Unload and deliver cylinders to customer sites and load returns to vehicle.
• Drive approximately 30% of the day; handle cylinder movement and paperwork.
• Accurately count, record quantities, and process DOT/shipping documents.
• Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and operate forklift as needed.

Job description

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will have the responsibility to provide a high standard of Customer Service while delivering, which includes unloading of products and movement to customer use point and reloading the returned empty cylinders to the vehicle.
• Driving represents approximately 30 % of the day, the remaining portion of the day includes delivery, cylinder handling, shipping orders/paperwork, customer contact, vehicle AM and PM inspections
• Accurately counting and recording quantities and styles of product delivered and picked up
• Complete Hazardous Material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT/TC Regulations
• You will have responsibility for placarding the vehicle according to required hazardous material regulations and Linde standards
• Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Identify need for vehicle repairs and/or maintenance and ensure it is accomplished on time
• You will have responsibility for processing medical and industrial gas cylinders using established plant guidelines and procedures
• Performs visual, physical and odor tests on cylinders before filling and determines whether retesting and/or repairs are required
• Checks for cylinder quantities, styles and product, and fill any necessary product
• You will have responsibility for loading and unloads product from weekly shuttle truck
• Operates and maintains cylinder scales and associated equipment
• Prepares warehouse transfer orders and accompanying paperwork for shipment and keys into the computer the quantities, styles and products filled in order to justify the stock inventory
• Completes and maintains quality control documentation as per company and Governmental procedures
• You will have responsibility for operating a forklift truck and other plant vehicles

What makes you great

• You will have a High School Degree / G.E.D. is required and at least two (2) years driving experience or have completed a course of instruction from a truck driver training school that operates equipment similar to Linde's
• No preventable accidents, license suspensions or other moving violations in the past 2 years
• No alcohol related convictions within the last ten (10) years
• A current medical examiner's certificate or the ability to pass a DOT physical
• You will have a class B CDL is required
• you have a current Hazmat on CDL or ability to obtain Hazmat within 60 days of hire
• More than two (2+) years. experience in plant or manufacturing environment is preferred
• You can read and write in English
• 21 years or older
