Local Delivery Driver (CDL A)
Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Join a dynamic team as a safety-focused Truck Driver at Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. and help make the world more productive every day!

Linde drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders, hard goods, and associated products, following a computer-generated local route to customer locations. This position is physically active and will be responsible for loading/unloading at client sites. Linde drivers engage with customers by responding to their needs and providing excellent customer service.

What you will be doing:

1. Deliver products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day, while touching freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service
2. Accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up
3. Complete hazardous material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT regulations
4. Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
5. Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance
6. Build both relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives of the business and customer needs
7. Continuously building your knowledge on how Linde’s business operates and succeeds to help organization to continue growing
8. Other duties as assigned

What makes you great:

1. 2 years of consecutive driving experience or have recently received a certification from an accredited Truck Driving School
2. Valid class A CDL is required
3. Current Hazmat Endorsement on CDL strongly preferred or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
4. No preventable accidents, license suspensions or other moving violations in the past 2 years
5. No alcohol related convictions within the last 10 years
6. Pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
7. Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 75 pounds
8. Read and write in English
9. High School or G.E.D. is required
10. 21 years or older
11. Effective organizational, listening, and communication skills
