This position involves delivering to various customers, including Foodservice, and driving the delivery vehicle to distribute products to stores. Responsibilities include stocking store shelves, displays, coolers, and vending equipment, as well as building displays and setting up promotional materials like signs and banners. The role also requires generating invoices and settling cash and charges daily. Interaction with store management and receiving personnel is frequent to ensure proper acceptance of loads.
This job requires physical effort, including lifting and loading cases weighing 20-45 pounds repeatedly, and pushing/pulling forces of 40-150 pounds occasionally. It also involves reaching, squatting, and bending during deliveries and merchandising. Unloading pallets with electronic pallet jacks or hand trucks and placing products in designated backroom areas are also key duties.
Note: In California, except Stockton, both non-excepted intrastate and interstate statuses are accepted. In Stockton, only non-excepted interstate status is accepted.
