Position will deliver to all types of customers including Foodservice. Drives the delivery vehicle and delivers product to the store. Responsible for ongoing rotating and stocking of product on store shelves, displays, in coolers and vending equipment. Builds small displays and sets up promotional materials such as signage and banners. Generates invoices and handles daily settlement of cash and charges. Interacts frequently with store management and receiving personnel for load acceptance. This role involves lifting and loading cases weighing 20-45 pounds repeatedly, and pushing/pulling forces from 40-150 pounds occasionally. It requires reaching, squatting, and bending during deliveries and merchandising. Unloads pallets using an electronic pallet jack or hand truck and stores products in designated areas in the store's backroom.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Deliver products and execute all promotions
- Service all scheduled customers by the end of the shift
- Merchandise accounts to local standards
- Establish positive relationships with primary contacts at each account
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 21 years or older
- Pass DOT drug test and physical
- Valid U.S. CDL with Non-Excepted Interstate Status (if applicable)
Note: In all California locations except Stockton, both non-excepted intrastate and interstate statuses are accepted. In Stockton, only non-excepted interstate status is accepted.
HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:
- Operating trucks requiring a valid CDL (e.g., driving forwards, backwards, maneuvering in tight spaces)
- Adhering to DOT regulations (e.g., reading documentation, maintaining medical cards)
- Merchandising products (e.g., filling shelves, building displays, rotating stock)
- Using equipment like pallet jacks, dock plates, load bars, and straps
- Operating equipment such as pallet jacks, lift gates, hand trucks
- Documenting DOT compliance (e.g., reading, understanding, maintaining documentation)
Because this role involves field work away from a physical company location, including visiting customer sites and interacting with employees, vendors, and the public, a conditional offer of employment is contingent upon successful background check and drug screening.
