Job summary

Linde plc in Bakersfield, California is looking for a Delivery Driver to provide excellent customer service while delivering products. The role requires a high school diploma, valid CDL, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Hazmat endorsement is required within 60 days of hire.
• No preventable accidents or license suspensions in the past 2 years.
• Must pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers with an average of 10-12 stops per day.
• Complete hazardous material shipping orders in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

Skills

Proficiency in reading and writing in English

2 years of consecutive driving experience

Ability to push, pull, move, and lift 75 pounds

Education

High school diploma or GED

Valid Class A or B CDL

What you will enjoy doing

• Youwill deliver products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops perday, while touching freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellentcustomer service
• Accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products deliveredand picked up
• You are expected to completehazardous material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOTregulations
• Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance
• You will build both relationships and partnerships with internal andexternal customers to meet goals and objectives of the business and customerneeds
• You will continuously build your knowledge on how Linde’s business operatesand succeeds to help organization to continue growing, plus other duties asassigned

What makes you great

• Youhave a high school diploma or GED, along with proficiency in reading andwriting in English
• You will have 2 years of consecutive driving experience or recentcertification from a Truck Driving School, along with a valid Class A or BCDL
• This role requires you to be 21years or older
• You currently have a hazmat endorsement on your CDL or must obtain one within 60 days of hire
• You are expected to not have anypreventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past2 years
• No alcohol-related convictions within the last 10 years
• You must be able to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
• You have the ability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 75 poundsis required
