Job summary

Linde plc in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a CDL driver to deliver products to customers with 10–12 stops per day, handling freight, paperwork, and excellent service. You will count items, record deliveries and pickups, and follow DOT hazmat shipping papers, while performing pre/post-trip inspections and coordinating maintenance as needed.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, 2 years driving experience or recent Truck Driving School certification, hazmat endorsement (or within 60 days), 21+

• Two (2) years driving experience or recent Truck Driving School certification.
• Hazmat endorsement on CDL or obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• No major violations in past two years; able to pass DOT physical and obtain medical certificate.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers with 10–12 stops per day, touching freight, completing paperwork, and providing customer service.
• Accurately count and record quantities and styles of delivered and picked up products.
• Complete hazardous material shipping papers per DOT regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Identify maintenance needs and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Build relationships with internal and external customers to meet business goals.

• You are expected to completehazardous material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOTregulations
• Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance
• You will build both relationships and partnerships with internal andexternal customers to meet goals and objectives of the business and customerneeds
• You will continuously build your knowledge on how Linde's business operatesand succeeds to help organization to continue growing

What makes you great

• Youhave a high school diploma or GED, along with proficiency in reading andwriting in English
• You will have two (2) years of consecutive driving experience or recentcertification from a Truck Driving School, along with a valid Class A or BCDL
• This role requires you to be 21years or older
• You currently have a hazmat endorsement on your CDL or must obtain onewithin 60 days of hire
• You are expected to not have anypreventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past two (2) years
• No alcohol-related convictions within the last ten (10) years
• You must be able to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
• You have the ability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 75 poundsis required
