Overview

Salary: $17.00 hourly

The full-time Local Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering building materials to customer job sites using a pickup truck. The role may also involve operating a forklift and maintaining the lumber yard and warehouse. Candidates must have a valid state-issued driver’s license and a safe driving record; a CDL is not required.

Responsibilities include:

• Building loads for delivery and unloading freight, including lumber and building supplies
• Operating a forklift (training and certification provided)
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized lumber yard and warehouse
• Communicating delays or discrepancies with management
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Be at least 21 years old
• Proficient in reading and speaking English
• Ability to operate a commercial motor vehicle safely
• Provide a current Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and violations list annually
• Physically qualified to drive according to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act
• Not disqualified under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act
• Complete or have completed a driver’s road test and possess a valid certificate
• Depending on the truck/hauler, may require a commercial motor vehicle license and a valid Medical Exam certificate
• High school diploma or GED
