Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc., is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Local Delivery Driver position at our Lawrenceville, GA branch. The Driver is responsible for the safe operation of company trucks for timely delivery of products to customer and company locations. The driver will safely load, unload, and transfer products as needed, utilizing various equipment and forklifts within the branch location, trucks/trailers, and sites. High-quality customer service skills are essential, along with assisting with warehouse and front counter duties as needed.

Responsibilities May Include

• Load, unload, and deliver products to customer sites within designated time frames safely, using the most efficient routes.
• Maintain required logs and reports to ensure compliance with DOT and company policies.
• Safely load, block, brace, and secure cargo.
• Ensure compliance with driving/traffic and transportation laws and regulations.
• Operate forklift safely and efficiently to transfer, load, unload products, ensuring accuracy.
• Perform pre-check and post-check operations of vehicles and forklifts.
• Perform warehouse duties and ensure accurate loading/transfer of products.
• Notify management immediately of any accidents, damages, violations, or concerns.
• Follow safety and housekeeping practices at all times.
• Act as backup for warehouse and front counter duties as needed.
• Support additional projects and duties as required.

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven safe driving skills with flatbed or box trucks.
• Must meet and pass DOT standards.
• Ability to pass forklift and delivery truck tests within 30 days of start.
• Ability to operate forklift safely.
• Attention to detail and surroundings.
• Ability to follow policies and practices for branch, driving, and warehouse operations.
• Good judgment, strong work ethics, and integrity.
• Dependable, team-oriented, and able to establish positive relationships.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Ability to multi-task and assist in warehouse or front counter duties.
• Reliable and able to work scheduled hours and days.

Experience

• At least 2 years of driving a commercial vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
• Warehouse/logistics experience is a plus.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Previous forklift and delivery truck training preferred.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Ability to perform essential responsibilities with or without accommodations.
• Annual DOT screening.
