Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc., is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Local Delivery Driver position at our Lawrenceville, GA branch. The Driver is responsible for the safe operation of company trucks for timely delivery of products to customer and company locations. The driver will safely load, unload, and transfer products as needed, utilizing various equipment and forklifts within the branch location, trucks/trailers, and sites. Effective customer service skills are essential, along with assisting with warehouse duties and front counter responsibilities as needed.

Responsibilities May Include

• Load, unload, and deliver products to customer sites within designated time frames safely using the most efficient routes possible.
• Maintain required logs and reports to comply with DOT and company safety standards.
• Safely load, block, brace, and secure cargo.
• Ensure compliance with driving/traffic laws and regulations.
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently for transferring, loading, and unloading products.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle and forklift checks.
• Assist with warehouse duties, ensuring accurate loading and transfers.
• Report accidents, damages, violations, or concerns immediately to management.
• Follow safety and housekeeping practices at all times.
• Support warehouse and front counter operations as needed.
• Perform additional duties as required to support business needs.

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven safe driving skills for flat bed or box trucks.
• Must meet DOT standards and pass forklift and driving tests within 30 days.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely.
• Attention to detail and surroundings.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures.
• Strong work ethics, integrity, and dependability.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Ability to multi-task and assist in various roles within the branch.

Experience & Education

• At least 2 years of commercial driving experience with a valid license and clean record.
• 2+ years of warehouse/logistics experience is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Training in forklift operation and delivery trucks preferred.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodations.
• Annual DOT screening.
