Au Pair International seeks an Area Director in the United States to connect families with au pairs, oversee local clusters, and supervise community events from a home-based setup. You will ensure quality matches, provide ongoing support, and help expand Au Pair programs locally.

The role combines interviewing, counseling, and training responsibilities with marketing and PR duties to grow the area, requiring strong organizational and people-skills in a flexible, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

• Own a computer and be proficient in basic operations.
• Experience with Adobe and Microsoft Office products highly recommended.
• Strong time-management and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
• Interest in community outreach and cultural exchange program development.

Responsibilities

• Supervise local clusters within the U.S. and report to API Headquarters in Boulder, CO.
• Conduct interviews and screen potential host families to recruit quality participants.
• Counsel matches between au pairs and host families and provide year-round local support.
• Coordinate training and orientations meeting US Department of State regulations with Regional Directors.
• Lead grassroots marketing and public relations efforts to grow each area and recruit new host families.
