THE FEDERAL APPEALS FIRM is seeking licensed attorneys to serve as local counsel for federal district court filings in a remote, contract-based role. You will handle notices of appearance, electronic filings, and communications with firm counsel to ensure compliance with local rules across multiple jurisdictions.

Position: Local Counsel Attorney – Federal District Court Filings (Remote / Contract)

Payment: $500 flat fee per case assignment.

THE FEDERAL APPEALS FIRM™ is seeking attorneys admitted to practice in one or more federal district courts to assist with federal court filings and local counsel responsibilities in Social Security disability appeals. Local counsel is an attorney or law firm licensed to practice in the specific geographic jurisdiction or court where a legal case is being heard, providing assistance to an out-of-town primary lawyer. You assist our firm in appearing in the district, pro hac vice.

We are currently seeking attorneys admitted in the following jurisdictions:

Alabama (Northern District), California, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia (Southern District), Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, D.C., Washington State, and Wyoming.

Position Overview

This is a remote, contract-based local counsel position. Attorneys in this role will work collaboratively with firm counsel in connection with filings and procedural requirements in federal district courts where local counsel participation is required or preferred.

Compensation

$500 flat fee per case assignment.
