Business Integra Inc is seeking a local contract Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a position in Pikeville, Kentucky.

Job Description & Requirements

• Duration: 13 weeks
• 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8 hours, days
• Employment Type: Local Contract

Job Responsibilities:

• Preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals orally, by injection, or inhalation.
• Explaining imaging procedures to patients, answering questions, and ensuring comfort while positioning them for scans.
• Operating imaging equipment such as PET and SPECT scanners.
• Processing images of the brain, thyroid, bone, heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver on the computer.
• Monitoring patients for reactions to radioactive drugs.
• Keeping detailed records of radiopharmaceutical usage and procedures.
• Producing images for interpretation by physicians.
• Following safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure to staff and patients.
• Maintaining and examining medical imaging equipment.
• Staying updated on advances and developments in the field.
