Job summary

Knight Electric, Inc. is seeking Commercial Electricians to work on commercial projects in the Lincolnton, NC area. This full-time temporary role supports a 5-8 month project and requires residence within commuting distance of Lincolnton, NC.

Compensation ranges from $25.00 to $40.00 per hour, depending on experience and active state license. Typical weeks are 40-50 hours. Local travel to Greater Charlotte, NC is expected and benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401K, and PTO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Formal trade school or apprentice program completion preferred.
• 6,000+ hours electrician experience (not including school).
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Electrical Apprentice license as required by state licensing entity.
• Current OSHA 10 certificate.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Advanced knowledge of electrical theory.
• Understands and applies NEC code knowledge.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and schematics.
• Installs raceways, boxes, and cables.
• Assists with wire pulling activities.
• Installs light fixtures, devices, and cover plates.
• Installs panels, breakers, and transformers.
• Connects branch circuits including terminations and panels.
• Performs basic testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and schematics.
