Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Class B Local Truck Driver in Charlotte, NC. You will operate straight trucks, serve customers, and handle loading and unloading while following state regulations.

The role requires a Class B CDL, a clean driving record, and DOT compliance, with endorsements obtainable within 90 days. The position offers full benefits and a flexible schedule including day, night, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Class B CDL without air brake restriction.
• Safe driving record and history.
• Pass a DOT drug test and have no prior positive tests or refusals.
• Pass a company-paid DOT physical and pre-hire test (physical essential functions).
• Flexible schedule up to 12–14 hours daily, including day, night and weekend shifts.
• Have or obtain a Federal Medical Certificate and self-certify as Non-Exempt Interstate.
• Hazardous materials and tank endorsements within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a straight truck (GVWR or GVW of 26,001 lb or more).
• Provide excellent service to customers, including generating sales leads.
• Load and unload freight.
• Operate a straight truck according to State regulations for intrastate straight trucks.
• Operate a forklift and pallet jack to load and unload freight.
