Job summary

XPO is a leading transportation provider hiring a Class B Local Truck Driver in Salt Lake City, UT. The role involves safely operating a straight truck and delivering freight with focus on customer service.

Pay starts at $27.36/hour with a Monday–Friday day shift, full health insurance from day one, life and disability insurance, PTO, 9 paid holidays, 401(k) with company match, and education assistance. Endorsements and DOT compliance are required within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Class B CDL without air brake restriction.
• Safe driving record.
• Pass a DOT drug test.
• Pass company DOT physical and pre-hire test (physical essential functions).
• Flexible schedule up to 12-14 hours in a day (day, night, weekend).
• Have or obtain Federal Medical Certificate and self-certify as Non-Exempt Interstate.
• Possess or obtain hazardous materials and tank endorsements within 90 days of employment.
• Read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a straight truck (GVWR or GVW of 26,001 lb. or more).
• Provide excellent service to customers, including generating sales leads.
• Load and unload freight.
• Operate a straight truck based on State specific regulations for intrastate commercial straight trucks.
• Operate a forklift and pallet jack to load and unload freight.
