Job description

Elgin Recycling, a family-owned business with over 30 years of service in the Chicago-land area, is seeking experienced drivers to join our team. As a driver, you will play a crucial role in our operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of materials between our facilities and conducting industrial/commercial pickups throughout the area. We pride ourselves on our commitment to safety, dependability, and hard work, and we're looking for individuals who share these values.

Responsibilities

• Conduct industrial/commercial pickups of materials throughout the Chicago-land Area
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Transport materials between the Elgin Recycling Facilities
• May be asked to load and unload trailers on occasion with a pallet jack
• Hours vary depending on workload. This is a full time position and, while overtime is not guaranteed, we are looking for candidates who are willing to work longer days (8 to 12 hours)

Qualifications

• Class A Commercial Drivers License with no restrictions
• Real ID is not required at time of hire, but will need to obtain after hire
• 2 Years Experience operating tractor trailer.
• Clean Driving Record
• Roll-off and flatbed experience isa plus-willing to train if needed.
• Ability to adhere to all safety procedures and DOT/Company Policies
• Ability to lift 50lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending and stooping
• Ability to work and drive in all types of weather conditions
• Trustworthy, dependable, and friendly
