Job summary

Goodman Manufacturing is seeking a Local Driver to safely operate company trucks for timely product delivery and to assist with warehouse duties at the Ferndale branch. The role requires loading/unloading, maintaining DOT logs, and ensuring cargo is securely loaded.

A valid license, clean driving record, and forklift capability are essential. Responsibilities include customer service, by-the-book compliance, and willingness to perform front counter or warehouse tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment
• Working knowledge of commercial truck mechanics
• Understanding of DOT regulations
• 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience in past 3 years
• DOT road test and background checks required

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and deliver product to customer sites within designated time frames safely
• Maintain logs/reports to comply with DOT and company policies
• Safely load/brace/secure cargo
• Operate forklift safely to transfer/load products
• Perform pre/post vehicle checks
• Conduct warehouse/front counter duties as needed
• Follow housekeeping and safety practices
• Heavy lifting required
• Be timely to work and multi-task across roles
