Job summary

Lakeshore Recycling Systems is seeking a Commercial Driver to operate heavy-duty trucks, perform inspections, and ensure safe, efficient waste collection across local routes. The role requires a Class B CDL, DOT medical card, and a clean driving record.

You will collaborate with Route Managers and Dispatch to meet daily service goals and maintain customer site cleanliness. Local travel only; benefits and equal opportunity employer statements are provided.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Minimum age 18.
• Must have a valid Class B CDL.
• Must have a DOT medical card or obtain prior to hire.
• No DUI or OVI in the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
• No license suspensions in the last 2 years.
• No more than 3 moving violations in the last 2 years.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
• Must be able to read and speak English well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty trucks with front or rear end load lift attachments.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and document checks.
• Report unsafe conditions or issues to Route Manager or Dispatch.
• Attend scheduled training programs and meetings.
• Improve route efficiencies and identify best practices with Route Manager.
• Ensure containers on route match service level and are emptied as required.
• Position and return containers safely and keep customer locations clean.
