Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Local CDL Class A Driver to be home daily with Monday–Friday shifts from 7:00am to 3:30pm. You will operate a 26-foot box truck and may handle 53-foot trailers, delivering goods locally with emphasis on on-time performance and safety.

A $3,000 referral bonus is available; competitive pay starts at $30.50 per hour with overtime after 40 hours. Benefits include full health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k), life insurance, disability coverage, and more.

Qualifications

• CDL A experience operating a tractor pulling 53 foot trailers in the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A current valid CDL A driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive trucks and tractor trailers on local routes.
• Touch freight using pallet jacks to load/unload pallets and equipment.
• Drive safely and follow all safety policies and practices.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch.

About the role

As a CDL Driver, you’ll not only drive our equipment, but you’ll also drive our success! You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, on-time delivery of goods for our customers, running local routes that get you home daily. Y ou will operate a 26-foot box truck as well as a tractor pulling up to 53-foot trailers.

What you’ll do on a typical day

• Drive trucks and tractor trailers in and around the site or on public roads
• Touch freight position using pallet jacks to load and unload pallets and electronic equipment
• Drive safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices
• Perform routine inspections
• Communicate effectively with dispatch

What you’ll need to succeed at GXO

At a minimum you’ll need:

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A) experience operating a tractor pulling 53 foot trailers, in the last 3 years
• Must be at least 18 years old
• A current valid CDL A driver’s license and a safe driving record

It’d be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
