Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a CDL driver to cover local daily routes, delivering food and related products to customers. You will inspect vehicles, ensure timely deliveries, and maintain accurate paperwork, including logs and customer signatures.

The role requires a CDL license, 6+ months driving experience, and DOT health compliance. Competitive benefits and a $5,000 sign-on bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A or CDL-B license.
• Must be 21+ years old and meet state licensing requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years; pass drug test and background check.
• DOT Health Card current or able to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations and ensure vehicle safety.
• Drive tractors or straight trucks on local and regional routes to deliver food products.
• Unload, scan, and verify freight; obtain customer signatures and payments when required.
• Maintain logs of hours of service and comply with all safety policies.
• Keep equipment, docks, and trailers clean and secure; report safety issues promptly.
