Job summary

Fessenden Hall Inc. is seeking a CDL Truck Driver to securely transport and deliver specialty building materials across Northern New Jersey and New York. You will engage with customers, perform loading and unloading, and maintain vehicle safety standards.

This hands-on role requires stamina and attention to detail in a dynamic distribution environment. The position offers an hourly wage of $28.00–$30.00, with comprehensive benefits covered by the employer, aligning with our family-owned culture

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Experience with route planning, GPS navigation, and map reading.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team.
• High level of composure and ability to handle stressful situations calmly.

Responsibilities

• Secure materials: Physically handle and secure building materials onto the truck.
• Safe transportation: Drive commercial vehicles to deliver materials across Northern New Jersey & New York.
• Customer delivery & unloading: Assist customers at delivery sites and unload materials.
• Vehicle inspections & maintenance: Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain logs.
• Safety & compliance: Follow safety procedures and DOT regulations.
• Route management: Plan daily routes using GPS and adapt to conditions.
