Job summary

Fessenden Hall Inc in West Caldwell, NJ is seeking a CDL Truck Driver to securely transport specialty building materials and serve customers along Northern New Jersey and New York. This hands-on role combines professional driving with customer service and light labor.

You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, load and unload materials, plan routes with GPS, and maintain logs while adhering to DOT rules. We offer competitive hourly pay and strong benefits in a family-owned company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL with clean driving record and pass DOT physical and drug screening.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Experience with route planning, GPS navigation, and map reading.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Secure materials and deliver to customers across Northern New Jersey & New York.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Plan daily routes using GPS and adapt to conditions in real time.
• Assist with loading/unloading at delivery sites and ensure materials arrive in good condition.
• Maintain logs of vehicle repair status and working hours and ensure safety compliance.
