Airgas, Inc. in Anniston, AL is seeking a CDL B Driver (Local) to efficiently deliver compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch. The role involves loading, unloading, and returning cylinders, with a focus on safety and customer service.

The position emphasizes a consistent 7am-8am start, a 40-hour week, and full benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, and paid time off. Experience with gas cylinders and forklift is a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT (or able to obtain within 60 days) and Airbrake endorsements.
• Maintain valid license, medical card, and endorsements.
• No more than two traffic convictions or two at-fault accidents in last 3 years; or combo.
• No DUI in last 7 years; must work in a drug-free environment.
• Able to lift 75lbs and move >125lbs with handling equipment.
• 1 year of CDL driving in last 5 years or proof of completion from trucking school.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders and supplies.
• Deliver to local and regional customers using a CDL-B vehicle.
• Build courteous, professional relationships with customers; ensure timely deliveries.
• Safely secure cylinders and use a hand cart on customer sites.
