Job summary

Airgas is hiring a CDL B Driver in Huntsville, AL to deliver compressed gas cylinders locally from an Airgas branch. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, pre/post-trip inspections, and maintaining strong customer relationships. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday with early start times and a stable 40–45 hour workweek.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat (or able to obtain it within 60 days from hire date) and Airbrake endorsements.
• Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card and endorsements.
• No more than two traffic convictions in last 3 years, or one conviction and one at-fault accident.
• No DUI in last seven years.
• Must pass drug-free environment requirements.
• Must lift 75lbs and move >125lbs with equipment.
• One year of CDL driving experience or recent trucking school completion.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders, Dewars and supplies.
• Nurture courteous and professional relationships with customers.
• Support deliveries in a timely manner.
• Safely secure and unsecure cylinders.
• Complete deliveries on customer sites using a hand cart.
