Job summary

Airgas, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse/Backup CDL B Driver in Theodore, AL to support loading, hauling, and delivering compressed gas cylinders to customers. The role offers a home-daily schedule, 6:30am start, and a balanced 40-hour work week with occasional weekend support.

Responsibilities include inspections, forklift operation, and safe handling of cylinders, with a focus on courteous customer interactions and timely deliveries. Full benefits and 401(k) are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL with HazMat (or able to obtain within 60 days) and Airbrake endorsements.
• Maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card and endorsements.
• No more than two traffic convictions or one at-fault accident in the last 3 years, or similar combined history.
• Able to regularly lift 75 lbs and move 125 lbs with equipment.
• At least 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or proof of trucking school completion in the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Move materials using a forklift.
• Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders and supplies.
• Deliver cylinders to local and regional customers in a timely manner.
• Safely secure and unstrap cylinders for transport.
• Interact professionally with customers on site.
