Job summary

Airgas, Inc. in Huntsville, AL seeks a CDL B Driver (LOCAL) to deliver compressed gas cylinders and Dewars from a local branch. You will load/unload, secure cylinders, and maintain safety standards while building professional customer relationships.

Responsibilities include vehicle inspections, timely deliveries, and navigating customer sites with a hand cart. Must have CDL with HazMat/Airbrake endorsements or obtain within 60 days, and meet experience requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with HazMat and Airbrake endorsements; able to obtain within 60 days from hire date.
• Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card, and endorsements.
• No more than two traffic convictions, or two at-fault accidents in the last three years; or no more than one traffic conviction and one at-fault accident in the last three years.
• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven years.
• Must be able to work in a drug-free environment.
• Be able to regularly lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment.
• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last five years or provide proof of a trucking school completion within the last 12 months.

Location: Huntsville, AL - Retail shop

As a key representative of Airgas, the delivery driver contributes to safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company provided CDL B vehicle. This position involves loading, unloading, and returning compressed gas cylinders and Dewars while frequently connecting with Airgas customers.
