Job summary

Crane Cartage LLC in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Class A CDL driver to transport freight locally and on interstate trips. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain logs, read documents, and obtain signatures upon delivery.

The role requires up to 11 hours driving per day and up to 14 hours on duty when needed, with compliance to DOT safety rules. Minimum 1 year driving experience and a high school diploma are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of driving experience in the specified equipment.
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• No prior 3-year employer history of failed or refused drug/alcohol tests.
• Not subject to FMCSA SAP follow-up testing.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial motor vehicle to transport and deliver freight.
• Maintain contact with dispatch or supervisor for new locations.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain records.
• Maintain shipping paperwork records and obtain signatures upon delivery.
• Read and follow road signs, maps, and shipping documents.
• Comply with DOT regulations and government laws at all times.
