Würth Baer Supply Company is seeking a permanent CDL-A driver at our Guilderland Center, NY location to perform customer deliveries.

This direct-hire role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with pay from $32.00 to $34.00 per hour, plus a $2,000 performance bonus and comprehensive benefits, including health, life, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to operate manual transmissions and proficient driving 10-speed vehicles.
• Valid CDL-A required.
• Valid DOT Medical Card required.

Responsibilities

• Load truck with materials using a sit-down propane forklift and by hand.
• Secure load for transport and deliver to 5–10 stops daily.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate with management.

Würth Baer Supply Company is looking for a permanent addition to our team at our location in Guilderland Center, NY. We are targeting a CDL-A Driver to perform customer deliveries.

Location:

Guilderland Center, NY

Permanent Role:

• This is a direct hire to our company.
• No staffing agencies are involved in the hiring process.
• Steady, year-round work.
• Average employee tenure is 15 years per employee across 30 branches in the US

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday 6:00am to 3:00pm ET or until completion of daily route
• Time and a half after 40 hours - Typically closer to a normal 40-hour workweek, however

Compensation:

• $32.00 to $34.00/HR based on experience

$2000 Performance Bonus:

• $1000 after 90 days (3 months) and $1000 after 180 days (6 months)
• Paid for drivers in good standing with the company
• Consistent on-time arrival to work, good attendance, good attitude, work safety, and work quality are all factored into the evaluation of being in good standing

Truck Type:

• 26-Foot Curtain Side Truck
• Manual Transmission

Duties:

• Load truck with sit-down propane forklift and by hand as needed with materials such as drawer slides, hinges, door and cabinetry handles, hand/power tools, sandpaper goods, paint/stain, plywood, cabinetry, synthetic countertop materials, and laminate goods. This particular branch is mostly plywood/sheet goods.
• Secure load to truck by tying down to ascertain safe travel between stops
• Pass goods to customers by hand weighing 40lbs to 100lbs
• Deliver to between 5 to 10 stops daily
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate as needed with management pertaining to customer questions and concerns
• Utilize Samsara Electronic Logging Device (ELD) on company cell phone to perform pre-trip inspections and demonstrate DOT-compliant on-duty status, etc. in lieu of paper logs. Cameras facing in the cabin towards the driver as well as on the road ahead to protect the company in driver in the event of any incidents.

Requirements:

• Must be comfortable wearing a company uniform and protective footwear (composite or steel toe)
• Safe Driving Record (MVR)
• Must be legally authorized to authorized to operate manual transmissions and proficient driving these types of vehicles (10-Speed) even though you will be driving an automatic most of the time
• Must have a valid CDL-A
• Must have Valid DOT Med Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate)
