Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. in Calhoun, LA is hiring a Semi Driver for our local fleet. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday with occasional on-call shifts and a 7AM–5PM shift; overtime eligible.

We offer weekly pay, uniforms, boot and safety glasses benefits, and a strong safety culture. Qualified applicants will hold an unrestricted Class A CDL with a Tanker Endorsement and a DOT Medical Card, with 2 years of semi experience preferred. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have an unrestricted Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement and DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum 2 years of semi driving experience, preferably with wrecker or flatbed hauling heavy equipment.
• Safety-focused with ability to load, strap, and secure equipment.
• Customer-oriented with ability to instruct customers on safe operation and complete paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate local semi routes with a standard schedule.
• Load, offload, and secure equipment using chains and binders.
• Maintain clean driving record and safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service and proper documentation.
