Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Semi-Local Chemical Tanker Driver on a dedicated route with frequent home time.

You will haul ink and other chemicals in tanker, reefer, or van trailers on about 2,200 miles per week, with live unloads by the receiver and pre-loaded outbound loads. Shifts are Tue–Sat with start times 12:00 PM–5:00 PM, and drivers return home weekly, with occasional extra trips.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
• Clean driving record and DOT medical card.
• Minimum 3 months verifiable CDL-A experience.

Responsibilities

• Haul chemicals in tanker, reefer, or van trailers on a semi-local route.
• Average about 2,200 miles per week with pre-loaded outbound loads.
• Live unloads completed by receiver; no driver unloads.
• On-site training with a certified trainer; uniform program available.

CDL-A Semi-Local Chemical Tanker Driver – Good Pay + Bonus | Home Weekly

Earn $103,500 average annual gross pay on a dedicated semi-local route with frequent home time. Drivers are home weekly for their reset and typically return home 1–2 additional times per week depending on routes.

Pay Details

• Average Weekly Pay: $2,100
• $1,000 Show Bonus: $500 after 30 days + $500 after 180 days
• Safety/Service Bonus: $200 per week
• Stop Pay: $40 per occurrence
• Tanker Stop Pay: $80 per stop
• Breakdown Pay: $15/hour
• Hazmat endorsement renewal paid while on the account

Shift Details

• Tuesday–Saturday
• Start times: 12:00 PM–5:00 PM
• Routes may involve daytime, afternoon, and evening driving
• Home weekly for reset + 1–2 additional times per week depending on route
• Holiday work may be required based on routes and customer appointments

Job Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
