Job description

Local CDL A or CDL B Driver

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Driver, known as a Logistics Specialist II (with or without a Crane Operator certification), is to deliver building materials to customers or job sites. Deliveries are within a 200-mile radius of the home branch, with no overnight stays required.

• Safety Bonus
• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Lead job site safety by operating equipment according to laws and regulations
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
• Validate inventory, compare with purchase orders, and confirm delivery details
• Conduct job site inspections, noting existing damages and obstacles
• Capture photos of delivered building products as per company policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Ability to load and unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs., with forklift or Moffett experience a plus
• Safe driving record with no recent hit & runs, DWI, or DUI convictions
• Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations are advantageous
• Work experience in distribution is a plus
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Minimum age of 18, or 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
• Pass a drug test and possess a current DOT medical certificate; no positive drug tests in the last 12 months
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and pass an E-Verify check
