Local CDL A or CDL B Driver

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Logistics Specialist II, whether or not also serving as a Crane Operator, is to deliver building materials to customers' businesses or job sites. Deliveries are within a maximum of 200 miles from the home branch, with no overnight stays involved.

• Operate commercial vehicles safely in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Lead job site safety by operating equipment according to local, state, and federal laws
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Verify and confirm inventory loaded against purchase orders, sign delivery tickets, and confirm addresses and routing information before leaving the branch
• Inspect job sites, document existing damages, and note the location of utilities and obstacles
• Capture photographs of delivered building products as per company policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Ability to load and unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs. each, with experience operating forklifts or Moffett preferred
• Safe driving record with no recent hit & run, DWI, or DUI convictions within the last three years; severe violations or multiple accidents may be reviewed
• Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations are advantageous
• Experience in distribution is a plus
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
• Pass a drug test and hold a current DOT medical certificate; no positive drug tests in the past 12 months
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and pass an E-Verify check
