Local CDL A or CDL B Driver

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Driver, known as a Logistics Specialist II (with or without a Crane Operator certification), is to deliver building materials to customers or job sites within a 200-mile radius of the home branch. All deliveries originate and end at the branch, with no overnight stays required.

• Home every night
• Receive a Safety Bonus
• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Lead job site safety by operating equipment according to local, state, and federal laws
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
• Validate and confirm inventory loaded, compare purchase orders, sign delivery tickets, confirm addresses, and obtain routing information prior to departure
• Conduct job site inspections, document existing damages, and identify potential hazards such as power lines or underground utilities
• Capture photos of delivered building products following company policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Ability to load and unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs. each; forklift or Moffett experience is a plus
• Safe driving record with no recent hit & runs, DWI, or DUI convictions within the last three years; recent accidents or violations will be reviewed
• Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations are advantageous
• Experience in distribution is a plus
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
• Pass a drug test and possess a current DOT medical certificate; no positive drug tests in the past 12 months
• U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S., passing an E-Verify check
